Continuous Dry Fermentation
The invention consists in a process and a device for the continuous liquefaction of biomass. An upward flow in the ambient liquid of the fermentor brings the biomass to the surface. Feeding of new biomass and removal of waste material can be performed at any time, so that continuous fermentor operation permits constant biogas output. Compared with common farm-based digesters the reactor loading can be increased by at least factor two to three while yielding the same amount of gas.

Fault Detection in Solar Cells
This invention permits to detect faults in solar cells during the production process. It includes a fastening device and uses a measurement tool for optical excitation of the solar cell elements in various zones. Interpretation of the resulting magnetic field permits to check whether the solar cell is faulty or not.
The fault detection procedure is contact-free. It uses several laser sources to permit parallel, simultaneous checking of a large solar cell area. A new technology hinders interferences between the various magnetic fields.

Biocoal
The present invention permits to produce biocoal by charging coal particles with minerals obtained from the processing fluid of biogas plants. The invention is thus a synergetic combination of two technologies, as the residue from biogas production is suitable for producing biocoal. Furthermore, using the processing fluid from biogas plants permits to obtain biocoal of a predetermined quality.

Odour Filter
The invention concerns a biological filtering apparatus for purifying gases, in particular those containing hydrogen sulfide (H2S, a malodorous gas). The biological filter can be used in sewage ducts to reduce the amount of malodorous hydrogen sulfide that es-capes. Moreover, the novel process ensures sufficient moisture for the microorganisms and thus permits reliable conversion of the hydrogen sulfide escaping from sewage ducts even during extended dry periods.
